While I intended to give "Tiki" the full blown Halloween treatment I decided to highlight the image using a strictly black and white background and the colorful spotlight. Kind of like the B and W photos that have one element colorized.

This cute toucan comes from Paperworks Co.
Supplies used to create this card include:

Spellbinders frame and palm fronds
Copic airbrush and markers
Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol
Stickles
Black gems
Black fun fibers
Sizzix flourish die
Prima flowers

Thanks for taking a look and see you next week!

This week I used an image from "Wags and Whiskers" called Angelica. I gave her a Halloween spin because I just can't stop thinking in terms of the holiday! I'm already getting worried for next weeks image "Tiki the Toucan"! Lets take a vote:

Should "Tiki the Toucan" get the Halloween treatment too?

Leave your vote in your comment and I will pick a random winner for one of my Halloween flowers from last week. Type "no flower" if you just want to vote but have no interest in the flower prize.
And here is this weeks card.....

Items used to make this card include :

Wild Orchid roses ( airbrushed)
Bat die cuts covered with MS onyx glitter
Floral wire coated with Crystal effects and covered with MS red glitter (headband)
Air dry clay ( devil horns )
Copic markers
Stardust stickles
Spellbinders nestabilities
EK Success bat border punch

I hope you have a great week and hope to see you back soon.

Here is this weeks Sketch and our Design Team Creations:
For this weeks sketch I decided to create my own version of the Prima Flowers "Grand Dame Mermaid" Here is a picture of the package.
Now here is my version.....

This was created using the following materials

Spellbinders nestabilities dies
Satin fabric
Organza
Lace (airbrushed)
Glitter applied to the edges with Crystal Effects
Liquid applique (white)
Prima flower center jewel

I "molded " the petals by spraying the layers with fabric stiffener and laying them in various sized dishes. I dried them with my heat gun. DO NOT  heat the organza layer without sandwiching them between the other layers as they WILL melt ( ask me how I know!) Liquid applique was applied to some edges and heated with the heat gun. The glitter was added to other layers. The flower was assembled with transparent thread and needle. Below is a step by step picture tutorial of some Halloween flowers I did the same way if you are interested. Honestly this really doesn't take a long time......All the same size layers can be cut at once!

Other items used:

Brick wall rubber stamp from CHF
Adirondak paint dauber in pearl (wall)
Recollections swirls
Sizzix die cut frame painted with Ranger crackle paint and rubbed with purple ink
Ribbon
Glitter applied to the wet paint from the wall stamp

Here are the Halloween photos:

Glitter applied to edges

Assembly order of layers

Thanks for stopping by and be on the look-out for some holiday flowers too!
