Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Wow, busy papercrafing weekend! Here is my entry for the Flourishes Timeless tuesday Challenge...make a Cristmas themed card. Challenge details can be found  HERE.

Paper:     SU Bashful Blue, Curious Iridescents White

Ink:         SU Bashful Blue reinker, SU Ballet Blue, Versa Mark, Craft White

Stamps:   Flourishes "Pointsettia and Boxwood", Flourishes "Christmas Music"

Other:      Spellbinders Classic Frame die, MS deep border punch "Garden Trellis",  SU Iridescent Ice EP, Stickles "Waterfall", "Say it in Pearls" flourish, SU embossing folder "Petals a Plenty".

Background papers:  Applied bashful blue ink to the raised surfaces of the petals a plenty EF and ran through the Big Shot. Stamped the sheet music stamp with versa mark and heat embossed with iridescent ice. Rubbed BB chalk lightly over the raised music to give it a little definition. Applied VM over the cut out ares of the frame , removed and heat embossed with II EP.

Pointsettias: These were made using the reinker method. I stamped the floweres with Craft white ink and embossed with clear EP. After spritzing the embossed paper with water you pick up some of the lightest blue ink using a waterbrush and touch the tip to the petal. The water moves the ink around. Repeat with the darker blue in other areas of the stamped image.

The trellis was inked up with VM and then heat embossed with the II EP. I wish the sparkle showed up better in the photo.

Have a great day!

Better late than never....

Here's a late Stampin B's challenge card. This was for last weeks challenge "Red, Black, White and a Moon hosted by Lois Bak. I know how much she enjoys "Twilight" as do I.  I really wanted to create this for her but completely missed the deadline! So in honor of "New Moon" here is my belated entry.

The details are as follows:

Paper:     SU  Real Red

Stamps:   SU Nature Silouettes,  NECA Twilight stamps

Ink:         Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic R27

Other:      Spica Glitter pen - Black, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders Medallion die, Wolf print clip art, MS flock

I masked the moon shape by using a circle punched out of Eclipse tape. I then airbrushed the sky using Copic R27. Over this I then stamped the tree and grass. I stamped the wolf , applied crystals effects and added a heavy sprinkle of the flocking. After it dried I cut out the wolf and attached it using a glue dot.
Before embossing the background paper I rubbed the Momento ink on the raised surface and then embossed. Crystal effects was applied over the moon surface.

Stampin B's challenge

Hello again! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I'm still full....Todays card is for this weeks Stampin B's challenge  HERE. The challenge was to make a Thanksgiving card.

The details are as follows:

Paper:     K and Co. "Lifes Tapestry",  SU Chocolate Chip, SU Marigold Morning. The leaves were die cut from 2 pieces from Basic Gray's "Indian Summer"

Ink:        Memento Rich Cocoa, Copic Markers ( R08, YR12) I airbrushed the edges of the center panel with the die still in place.

Other:     Spellbinders nestabilities, MS border punch "Rings", Spellbinders shapabilities die of leaves and acorn. Pearls, ribbon and glitter on the veins of the leaves adhered with a quickie glue pen.

There is a small strip of paper behind the frame which is hard to see. I wanted another piece of patterned paper but couldn't come up with a match so I created my own.....I airbrushed Copic R89 through the Spellbinders flourish Impressibilitie metal screen onto SU Marigold morning. I wish you could see it better. There is some sponging around the edges of the MM panel as well to give the card depth.

Thanks for taking a look and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Anyone for Anya? weekly challenge

Hello again......and it's almost FRIDAY!!!!!  I decided to try a "Anyone for Anya?" weekly challenge. This one features "something round" in the layout. The details can be found HERE. I have become seriously addicted to all of the stamps and digital images found at "The Greeting Farm". Here is my entry.......

The deer in the "Forest Friends" set is so cute I had to make him fuzzy. He reminds me of  "Rudolph", hence the red gem for his nose.

Stamps:  TGF "Forest Friends"
Paper:     Basic Gray "Eskimo Kisses", SU Rich Razzlebery, Old Olive
Ink:         Memento, SU Rich Razzleberry (sponging on the flower), Copic markers
Other:     Spellbinders Edgabilities, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug HSN collection snowflake embossing folder, Flock, gems and pearls, paper flower, Bow Easy

After stamping , I colored the image then  applied a thin layer of crystal effects where I wanted the brown flocking to go, then repeated for the white flock. I used a quickie glue pen to applie the glitter to the raised snowflake images for a sparkley effect. I airbrushed the darker green through the Edgabilities die while keeping the paper in place. This was a really fun card to create!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

This Magnolia "Devil Tilda" card is for my daughter Kay who is presently serving in the US Navy. I had to order the stamp directly from the Magnolia company in Sweden so I never got to mail it to her in time.

Products used:

Ink:        Memento, Prisma color/Gamsol, Spica glitter pens
Other:    Bow Easy, Nesties, gems, ribbon

Better late than never!

Hello again! I'm back with a few of the Halloween cards I never had time to upload and post. Best laid plans and all.........I hope you enjoy them as they are my favorite cards to make. I will still post a tutorial on how I made my own "Coordinations" type paper. I desperately wanted to use some in my spooky card creations but the colors wern'y vibrant enough for me. Out of desperation, I managed to make my own rendition. I hope you like them!

This card is "Glow in the Dark" . The "31" has Martha Stewart glow in the dark glitter on it. It looks really great when activated by flashlight and viewed in the dark. I tried to take a picture but was unsuccessful.
