Gee, am I stuck on Sunday posts or what! This week went by pretty quick, the weekend even faster. We did manage to go to see "Shutter Island" Saturday nite! This weeks challenge can be found HERE. I just loved this sketch and the butterfly suggestion. I also got to play with my new "Viva Decor" Pearl Pens and made some " home made" pearls. This is really a nice product and performs exactly how it is marketed. The pearls in this card were made using the "Ice White" pearl pen and then airbrushed a peach color using my copic markers and airbrush. A little photo "how to" on how I get my pearls a uniform size follows. The pens can be found HERE and there is even a video you can watch!
Stamps: SU French Script, Inkadinkado Dot Flouishes
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia, SU Groovy Guava, Ranger Distress Walnut Stain, Copic markers
Paper: Sandy Lion DP "Music", SU Groovy Guava, SU Ivory, PTI Dark Chocolate, heavy weight Vellum
Other: Viva Decor pearl pen Ice White, Prima flowers, Jolee's jewels butterfly (pin), Butterfly punches and diecuts, MS glitter, Airbrushed jewels, Nestabilities, Computer generated sentment, Beads colored peach for pin
Here are the pics for making the pearls:
Thanks for taking a look and I have more cards to post on Wednesday!

Linda, they are like liquid pearls only in the sense that they come packaged in an applicatior squuze bottle. The main difference between the two products is that these pearls dry completely hard and rounded. No little pointy tops!
ReplyDeleteOh Holly this card is just stunning. I love all the distressed edges and the colors you chose. That sentiment is so beautiful too. The pearls are awesome, have to go check that out. We are so happy that you shared your amazing card with us this week for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. What a wonderful take on the sketch.
