Flourishes "Feel the Love" challenge

It's almost TGIF! What a week....cold and more SNOW.  GRRRR I seriously need to move south! Flourishes stamps is having a release party Jan 15 and here is my card for the challenge. The more elaborate the better ya know! I never miss an op to glitter and bling it up....

Here are the details:

Stamps:  Flouishes "Strut your stuff"

Paper:    K and Co., SU  Melon Mambo, Neenah 120#, white glitter paper (for flourishes)

Ink:        Memento tuxedo black, SU Cranberry Crisp, Copic R39 (airbrushed frame, beads)

Other:    Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol

Accessories:  Sizzix flouish die, Nestabilie hearts, Cuttlebug script EB folder, beads, pearls, flowers and ribbon

I chose to make this a "Frame Card" to showcase the peacock and heart. I glittered the "script" using my quickie glue pen and MS fine crystal glitter. Stickles enhance the feathers on the bird. The background striped paper was embossed using a flouish EB folder and then sanded to add distressing.

The directions for the Frame Card can be found  HERE

I cant wait for the new releases! Flourishes stamps are just so beautiful.....

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello and Happy New Year! With just a few days to spare, here is a BD card for my Dad. Masculine cards are not my specialty and keeping it clean and simple was a tough one! I SO wanted to glitter it up.

Stamps:          Inkadinkado

Paper:             SU Brilliant Blue, GP

Ink:                 Memento Danube Blue

Other:              MS "Happy Birthday" punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, SU piercing template, sponge, Ballet Blue SU marker, Generic brand dewdrops.

For some reason these paper and ink colors worked best for me......To color my dewdrops I punch out circles using a standard hole punch. I glue them to the card and then glue the DD on top. This way I easily coordinate them with my project. This method works great with design paper as well. Also, I sponged Danbue blue around the edges of the focal image and the embossed panel.

Im looking forward to Valentine'sDay and Spring cards with lots of ribbon, flowers and glitz! Hope to see you back soon!
