Here is my entry for the FTTC50. It was to make a "scene" card using Flourishes stamps. I have to admit this wasn't my favorite layout and Im not sure I really like the finished card. Im more comfortable with the abstract than the realistic. Gave it my all though! I did however teach myself how to fake an asian coin LOL.
The details:
Stamps: Flourishes "Waterlily" Set #54
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Pacific Point, Basic Black and Neenah Solar Crest white
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, SU Wils Wasabi, Kiwi Kiss, Crushed Curry (sponged on the embossed parts of the bamboo)
Coloring medium: Copic markers for the airbrushed background and coloring the fish and flowers
Other: Spellbinders bamboo embossing/cutting plate, Stickles for leaves and flowers, crystal effects for the sun and applied over the water and fish (better seen in the closeup photo).
Coin: I cut a piece of white shrink plastic using Spellbinders Asian Coin die. Inked it up with Encore metallic gold ink and then shrank using my heat gun. The ink does not set so I added a little black ink to the edges and applied a layer of clear embossing power and reheated. I actually like how the coin turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
Holly
This is such a beauty! There is nothing about this card I don't like! Your soft colors are beautiful, and that coin you made is amazing. You should be very proud of this card! Best, Curt
ReplyDeleteLove the Asain flair to this very pretty card.

Great scene - LOVE it. Now I may have to finally get that bamboo plate from spellbinders.
